A new authorship policy establishes standards for employees and students who author academic, scholarly or research publications. To support responsible authorship and protect the interests of UAB authors in the scientific and scholarly process, the policy outlines considerations for assignment of authorship, acknowledgements, ghostwriting, conflicts of interest, misconduct, dispute resolution and authorship for external entities.
