The UAB Center for Teaching and Learning will offer numerous professional development opportunities, including more than 35 workshops on effective teaching practices, innovation, use of technology, teaching in a team environment and mentoring. A little reward and competition also enters the mix.
Learn from other faculty who are using these techniques in their classrooms, and connect with colleagues across disciplines to share ideas that enhance course design and delivery. The first workshops are Jan. 19 and Jan. 22, and the programs continue through the end of April. A complete schedule is online.
This year faculty also can earn points, badges and banners and move up the leaderboard as they pursue CTL teaching certificates through teaching activities and workshop participation.
