Faculty offered a glimpse of the messy work of administration

Senior administrators will discuss their work and its impact on the university with faculty during a new executive presenter series, Making the Sausage, that will be held 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. on select Fridays in EB 243. It begins Feb. 19 with Bradley Barnes, vice provost for Enrollment Management, who will speak about student recruitment.

The series is among the many workshops to be offered by UAB's Center for Teaching and Learning in which faculty can earn points, badges and bannersand move up the leaderboard as they pursue CTL teaching certificates through teaching activities and workshop participation.

Participants in this series earn 10,000 Gold Points and a CTL Executive Series Badge for each workshop, plus 5,000 Green Bonus Points for completing all four workshops.

Other scheduled presenters include Allen Bolton, vice president for Financial Affairs and Administration, March 11; Curtis Carver Jr., vice president for Information Technology/CIO, April 1; and Gregg Janowski, associate provost for Assessment and Accreditation, April 15.
