Overview

An integral part of UAB’s institutional initiative “Growth with a Purpose,” the objective of myUABResearch is to identify and implement a single, enterprise-wide, cloud-based research administration solution. Huron Research Suite (HRS) has been selected as the vendor for myUABResearch. This new technology will provide UAB researchers ease of use, responsiveness, enhanced dashboards, business analytics, and improved submission processes.

myUABResearch will streamline the management of integrated workflows for the activities of the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), the Office of Conflict Review Board (OCIRB), the Office of the Institutional Review Board (OIRB), the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), Animal Resources Program (ARP), Export Control and the Material Transfer Office (MTO), while providing robust data analytics to the UAB research community.

  • Contract review and negotiation with the vendor is ongoing.
  • The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees approved vendor selection of Huron Research Suite (HRS) through IT plan on June 7, 2024.
  • The UAB Executive Steering Committee recommended Huron Research Suite as the new vendor on April 19, 2024.
