SHP Interactive Mural & Wellness Project
The week of March 15, 2021, saw more than 150 faculty, staff and student volunteers paint a 28-foot long mural to commemorate our school’s principles, truths and shared values.
Mural Project: The Story
The SHP Mural tells an interactive story of SHP that is a reminder that we are all dedicated to a common goal, a united purpose and – most of all – to each other. It is already a destination location that is creating memorable and unique opportunities that produce feelings of joy, unity and pride.
Mural Project: The Design
A special thank you to Kelan Mercer, our school’s creative manager, for designing this masterpiece. And to Mammoth Murals & Signs who placed it on the wall, managed the process, tutored everyone, completed final touchups, and shared our energy and passion for this project.
"The mural combines our shared values with scenes and phrases that highlight the different areas and impact of our school. The mural gave us the chance to contribute to something that will inspire positivity and make people smile. I hope it serves as a lasting reminder of who we are, what we stand for, and what we can accomplish together."
~ Kelan Mercer, SHP Creative Manager
Mural Project: Building and Painting
We partnered with Mammoth Mural & Signs who placed the mural on the wall, managed the process, tutored the volunteers, completed the final touchups, and shared our energy and passion for this project. We spoke with Andrew Tynes about the process from his point of view.
