The “UAB Excellence in Business Top 25” award winners have been announced and four of them graduated from the School of Health Professions. The UAB National Alumni Society partnered with the Birmingham Business Journal to present the awards.
SHP alumni that made the Class of 2013 include:

- Methodist Hospital - Ian McFadden, MSHA Class 18 (1984)
- The Clarus Consulting Group, Inc. - Lynn Elgin, MSHA Class 27 (1993)
- TherapySouth - Steve Foster, PT (1981)
The purpose of the inaugural award is to identify, recognize, and celebrate the success of the top 25 UAB alumni-owned or UAB alumni-operated businesses. Recipients will be recognized at an awards luncheon on March 8.
