Research Interests

My research interests are very broad, but I am very interested in how our nutrition affects the microbiota in the gut and nutrition in relation to metabolic diseases.

Why I decided to pursue a PhD?

After graduating, I decided to practice in a clinical inpatient setting where I was a dietitian predominantly in the ICU setting, along with cancer and surgical patients.

While I enjoyed working as a dietitian, my passion for answering important questions about nutrition and metabolism continued to grow.

Any special interests, hobbies, or fun facts?

My special interests include baking, pilates, spin classes, and reading.
