Dr. Kenneth G. Saag received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and his medical degree from Northwestern University in Chicago. He later earned a Master of Science degree in epidemiology from the University of Iowa.
Dr. Saag is a member of the UAB Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Center as well as scientist and group leader at the UAB Center for Metabolic Bone Disease. Dr. Saag is director of the AHRQ-funded Center for Education and Research on Therapeutics of Musculoskeletal Disorders.
Dr. Saag’s current research focuses on the epidemiology of glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis as well as methods to translate evidence into practice for both arthritis and osteoporosis.
