SimUAB® will be hosting the Center for Medical Simulation (CMS) Healthcare Simulation Essentials: Design & Debriefing (HSE), May 6-9, 2025. This course provides comprehensive training for experienced educators with an interest in teaching clinical, behavioral, and cognitive skills using healthcare simulation.
CMS provides the HSE course several times a year in partnership with qualified facilities for simulation educators who seek to create high-quality healthcare simulation programs. This course immerses healthcare simulation instructors in a multi-method course wherein participants learn how to teach clinical, behavioral, and cognitive skills through simulation.
At UAB, course participants will be selected by UAB Clinical Simulation and OIPS in consultation with stakeholders to provide broad representation in each cohort. The goal will be for participants to gain skills that they can use to design and implement simulation-based experiences in the future. If you are interested in this course, please contact SimUAB@uab.edu.The University of Alabama Marnix E.
