The Master of Science in Healthcare Simulation program had its annual on-campus intensive during which learners spent four active days immersed in simulation with SimUAB® (UAB's collaboration between the Office of Interprofessional Simulation and UAB Medicine's Clinical Simulation) and the School of Health Professions. During the intensive, the students worked on scenario design, implementation, and debriefing.
SimUAB® recently partnered with the renowned Center for Medical Simulation (CMS) in Cambridge, Massachusetts, to host a comprehensive four-day simulation facilitator course. Three CMS faculty members instructed the course, titled Healthcare Simulation Essentials: Design and Debriefing, which was held from May 7-11 in UAB Medicine's Clinical Simulation center in UAB Hospital's Quarterback Tower.
The course included active participation from 20 simulationists representing UAB, Children's of Alabama and the UAB Health System, aiming to enhance their skills in designing and debriefing simulation sessions.
