This historic 2017 football season will go down in the archives of UAB as one of the most memorable.  From the initial game at Legion Field against Alabama A&M, to Bowl eligibility, to Coach Clark’s winning the Conference USA Coach of the Year Award, the UAB Athletics Department and the team have outpaced expectations with a banner year!   The united spirit of students, staff and faculty bodies around the University in showing their school pride on campus and at Legion Field has been simply fantastic. 

However, the season is not over and there are many fun activities planned for the days leading up to the Bahama Bowl. 

• First, let’s wrap up this football season with a campus sweep of “Be Seen in Green” every day during the week of December 18th.  The Staff Council’s “Be Seen in Green Street Team” will travel around campus on Thursday, Dec. 21, between 11-1 giving out UAB swag to reward anyone showing their team pride by wearing UAB green. 
  
  
• Next, everyone is invited to attend a “Send Off” for the UAB Football team on December 18th at 9am outside of the Legacy Pavilion and UAB Football Operations Building.  Come and show the team that you will be with them in spirit as they travel to the Bahamas Bowl for the win. 
  
  
• Finally, UAB will be playing Ohio University on Friday, December 22nd at 11:30 CST on ESPN.  Viewing of the game will be held at Iron City Grill and in the Hill Student Center Alumni Theater starting at 11:30am.
