All Blazer Welcome events are completely free for all UAB students with an Engage Event Pass. The Engage Event Pass will be your ticket to hundreds of campus programs and events during your time at UAB. Login to Engage with your Blazer ID and password and save your Event Pass to your phone by screenshotting or adding it to your apple wallet. View our Event Pass Tutorial for a quick overview.

All new students are encouraged to connect in whatever way they are most comfortable throughout the first four weeks. There are over 60 programs and events that will take place over the course of the first four weeks and we definitely don’t expect you to attend every one. Participating in Blazer Welcome is a great way to meet people and become better acquainted with the campus and resources available to you. Taking full advantage of this opportunity will help set you up for a successful first year at UAB!

Check-in is easy for campus events at UAB! Make sure to download your Engage Event Pass and screenshot it or save it to your apple wallet or google pay, scan it upon entry to each event and you’re good to go!

Blazer Welcome events will be offered both virtually and in-person. Be sure to review the designated location for each event so you know how to participate. Participation for in-person events is limited to only the UAB community. All attendees must present their Blazer ID and show an Event Passport obtained through Healthcheck for entry.
