Federally funded by the U.S. Department of Education, the TRIO Teacher Prep Program at UAB is designed to train, support and prepare students for their future in education.
Teaching is a holistic practice, so preparing the teachers of tomorrow requires a holistic approach. Offering supplemental support beyond the classroom is crucial to helping Education majors build their CV, prepare for their first year of teaching and understand how to help their future students succeed. With these goals in mind, TTPP offers students an immersive teaching experience that gives them tools to help them succeed, both inside and outside of the classroom.
