BASICS
Brief Alcohol Screening & Intervention for College Students
Community Standards and Student Accountability has partnered with Student Counseling Services to offer individualized sessions that assess alcohol use.
BASICS is a one-on-one, discussion-based program designed to equip students with the skills to make healthier, safer decisions around alcohol use. Over the course of two sessions, participants will reflect on their alcohol intake and their perceptions of drinking norms among their peers. The BASICS facilitator will then provide information and coping skills to reduce risk and negative consequences related to alcohol use.
