Your gift to the General Fund provides the department with flexibility to support key priorities of the department. Your support allows us to continue to provide outstanding academic programs and world-class research.
Robert and Edith Bauman Endowed Scholarship in Physics
The Robert and Edith Bauman Endowed Scholarship in Physics is named for Robert and Edith Bauman in honor of their many years of service to UAB and the Birmingham community. The scholarship fund rewards students who are enrolled in the UAB Department of Physics. Preference given to students who are entering freshman with financial need.

Evan Garrison Memorial Endowed Award in Physics
The Evan Garrison Memorial Endowed Award in Physics is named in memory of Evan Garrison, an accomplished scholar and graduate of both the Department of Physics and the Department of Mathematics. Your gift will provide funding for tuition scholarships for undergraduate majors.
Dr. Lowell Wenger Endowed Scholarship
The Dr. Lowell Wenger Endowed Scholarship is named in memory of Dr. Lowell Wenger, former Physics Professor, Researcher, and Dean of the UAB School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. This annual scholarship provides funding to students enrolled or admitted to the Department of Physics.
The Dr. Edward L. Wills Endowed Scholarship in Physics
The Dr. Edward L. Wills Endowed Scholarship in Physics is named in memory of Dr. Edward L. Wills, a beloved former faculty member of the department. This scholarship will honor his dedication to both undergraduate and graduate students, and his overseeing the lab program for many years. This scholarship provides funding to students enrolled or admitted to the Department of Physics.
