The Department of Political Science and Public Administration offers two graduate certificates: Nonprofit Management and Public Management. Both certificates consist of five (5) courses and are options for the Graduate School’s Interdisciplinary Studies (IGS) Degree.

Students who want to earn a graduate certificate must apply to the UAB Graduate School.

Students already admitted to the Graduate School as a degree-seeking student may also earn a certificate alongside their graduate degree. To inquire about this, please contact Carin Mayo (ccmayo@uab.edu).

The Department also supports the Department of Biology’s Graduate Certificate in Science Policy, which may be of interest to those with a science background or relevant policy area. For more information about this certificate, please contact Dr. Peggy Biga (pegbiga@uab.edu).
