Campus and Community Engagement

aaegpe logoThe Alabama Alliance for Equity in Graduate and Professional Education is a statewide partnership created to identify and improve methods to strengthen the in-state graduate and professional school education pipeline. Specifically, we aim to build upon existing institutional relationships between colleges and universities to explore challenges and opportunities relating to educational access and success, share resources, identify promising practices, and develop strategic initiatives to support the matriculation of students stemming from historically underrepresented and underserved backgrounds. Which began as the Alabama HBCU Alliance, a partnership between the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Miles College, Alabama A&M University, Alabama State University, Talladega College, Stillman College, Tuskegee University, and Oakwood University has since expanded to include leaders from the University of Alabama, Birmingham-Southern College, Samford University, University of Alabama at Huntsville, Auburn University, University of Montevallo, and University of North Alabama.
