Ben Moffatt has joined the Office of Development and Alumni Relations as assistant director of development for the School of Dentistry, a newly created position.

In his new role, Moffatt will coordinate the Reunion Class Giving program and assist with alumni/student mentorship programming as well as other special fundraising projects.

“We are excited to have Ben join our team,” says Scott Huffman, the school’s executive director of development. “He will play an important part in our expansion of reunion giving and connecting alumni practitioners with our current students for mentorship.”

A 2012 UAB graduate, Moffatt brings a wealth of experience working with youth and external audiences. He most recently led youth development programs at the YMCA of Greater Birmingham, overseeing afterschool programs in local elementary schools.

Moffatt says, “I am delighted to be at UAB and look forward to work with School of Dentistry alumni and students.”
