Communications helps make sure the School of Dentistry’s work is understood - inside the school and beyond it.
We work across all four pillars of the school’s strategic plan, supporting everything from clinical growth and patient engagement to student recruitment and the student experience. Our job is to bring clarity and connection to the work already happening.
We share the SOD story through internal communications, media relations, social media, and marketing, always grounded in accuracy, consistency, and the UAB brand. By partnering with school leadership and campus colleagues, we help turn plans into action and ideas into stories that reflect the school’s priorities in education, care, and impact.

The UAB Digital Asset Library (DAL) is a portal of photos, videos, brand assets, logos, and templates. It is maintained by the Office of Marketing & Communications to support the work of faculty, staff, students, partners, and vendors in visually representing UAB.
