Charlene Paige has been selected for the UAB Elevate Class of 2024-2025. She is a Financial Officer I in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry.

Charlene PaigeAfter completing the UAB Dental Assisting Program in 2013, Paige paired her bachelor's degree in business administration with her interest in dentistry by working as a dental assistant in the Finn Pediatric Dentistry Clinic and later, as a Patient Accounts Representative I in the Department of Periodontology. Paige then moved to the business office, where she was promoted to Patients Account Representative II and later to Patient Accounts Coordinator before transitioning back to the Department of Pediatric Dentistry.

Crediting her current and former departments for shaping her career and nurturing her academic growth, Paige took advantage of UAB employee tuition assistance to earn her master's degree in business administration.

She says one of her goals is to mentor new staff, providing guidance and support as they acclimate to their roles.

“I am incredibly grateful and honored to have been nominated and selected to be a part of the Elevate cohort for the 2024-2025 term,” says Paige. “I am truly looking forward to the exceptional opportunities and experiences that lie ahead and to gaining the skills and expertise needed to improve my conflict resolution skills and expand my capacity to delegate and collaborate.”
