Ramtin Sadid, D.D.S., M.S., has been elected to the American College of Prosthodontics (ACP) Education Foundation board of directors. He will serve a two-year term that concludes in 2026.
The ACP Education Foundation’s mission is to empower member success and promote education, research, clinical practice, and public awareness of prosthodontics. As a member of the ACP, Sadid has served as the Chair of the Digital Dentistry Curriculum and Chair of the Predoctoral Educator Meeting, and he was the ACP Annual Meeting Chair in 2023.
Sadid’s leadership also includes service as Chair of the poster session and the board of directors of the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics (AAFP). He is currently the AV consultant for the AAFP, and he was selected as the Co-Chair for the AAFP Annual Session 2026.
A tenured professor in the Department of Restorative Sciences, Sadid is a practicing Prosthodontist, head of the Division of Prosthodontists, and Associate Director of the Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics. He also serves on several committees within the UAB School of Dentistry. He earned his D.D.S. from the University at Buffalo, his Master of Material Sciences, Prosthodontics residency, and his Maxillofacial Prosthetics Fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Sadid says he is honored to have the opportunity to serve the ACP and looks forward to working in conjunction with an impressive team to lead the organization.
