According to the Birmingham Business Journal (BBJ), Harbert Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Executive Director Kathy Nugent, Ph.D., is again considered one of Birmingham’s most important business leaders.

“Leadership has the ability to take a company to new heights,” wrote BBJ editor-in-chief Stephanie Rebman. “It can take a community to new places as well.”
Nugent, who has been included on almost every BBJ Power 60 list since 2014, was joined on this year’s list by University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) President Ray Watts, M.D., and Dawn Bulgarella, CEO of the UAB Health System.
