Using a gift from Coca-Cola Bottling UNITED, we created a custom leadership curriculum that provides a forum where knowledge and skills are developed and refined to support community leaders. Over the course of 9 sessions, the Community Leadership Academy will teach the group skills in understanding personal strengths, speaking to large groups, effective communication, building and leading a team, conflict resolution, and more.

At the end of the program, participants will identify an issue, along with any potential barriers and assets in their community, that relates to one of Live HealthSmart Alabama’s signature keys: prevention and wellness, education, good nutrition, and physical activity. At the completion of the program, the class will present their fundable, actionable plan to address the issue.
