Journal Club 2High Performing Care Collaborative

The purpose of the High Performing Care Collaborative is to submerse intact (clinical) leader teams with the key management and leadership principles that drive outcomes while forming their own collaborative action plans. The program participants include a variety of leadership teams in order to promote collaboration across departments and entities, as well as creativity and problem-solving.

Lead Infinitely Workshop Series

Lead Infinitely is a teamwork and leadership workshop series that aims to bring care teams together to educate on leadership and teamwork principles while also strengthening bonds and building respectful and trusting professional relationships. 

Anesthesia Scholarly Connections and
Lunch & Learn Series

Anesthesia Scholarly Connections (pictured) is quarterly journal club that meets after hours at local establishments around Birmingham. Physicians, CRNAs, and trainees from UAB Medicine and beyond gather to discuss peer-reviewed publications and build camaraderie among teams. Internal Lunch & Learns are also held within UAB Medicine and give anesthesia care team members a chance to sit down together for a meal and learn from evidence-based research. These events are led by Hanna Hussey, M.D.; Ben Nahass, CRNA; and Alftan Turner, CRNA.
