UAB CF Center Summer Research Programs

We will continue the CF SUmmer Research Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Gregory Fleming James Cystic Fibrosis Research Center (UAB CFRC SURP) funded by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, in order to engage and empower students at the undergraduate and medical stages of training, specifically to offer an opportunity for students who are not otherwise exposed to research and are interested in pursuing careers in CF-related research.

Up to 8 students will be accepted into this CF-focused, paid summer program, running from June 2 to July 25, 2025, to work with faculty affiliated with the UAB Gregory Fleming James Cystic Fibrosis Research Center. CF SURP students will be given the opportunity to learn a wide range of research skills, with the potential option of a clinical or clinical research shadowing experience for up to 5 days. Students will receive a stipend.
