The Equal Access Birmingham Clinic is always taking new patients. Please call (205) 259-8836 to schedule a new patient appointment!


Established Patients

If you need a medication refill, need to schedule an appointment or have general questions/concerns, please call (205) 259-8836. 

If you need immediate medical care, call 911 or go to the UAB Hospital Emergency Room (1802 6th Avenue South), or UAB Highlands Emergency Room (1021 11th Avenue South).

General Medical Clinics:

Every Wednesday: 5:00 – 7:30 PM

Every Sunday: 12:30 - 5:30 PM

Appointments available by calling to schedule or by walk-in for:

  • New patients to establish care for chronic concerns
  • Returning patients for follow-up of chronic concerns
  • New and returning patients with acute concerns

Mental Health Clinic:

First Saturday of every month: 12:30 – 5:30 PM

Location: Community Health Services Building (930 20th St S, Birmingham, AL 35205)

Appointments available by calling to schedule (no referral needed) for:

  • Patients with diagnoses including, but not limited to:
    • Depression
    • Anxiety
    • PTSD
    • Bipolar disorder
    • OCD

Note: Social worker in clinic to provide additional access to outside resources


Reproductive Health Clinic:

Second Saturday of every month: 12:00 – 5:00 PM

Location: Community Health Services Building (930 20th St S, Birmingham, AL 35205)

Appointments available by calling to schedule (no referral needed) for:

  • Annual pap smears
  • Breast exams
  • STI testing
  • Reproductive concerns
  • Other gynecological care needs

Note: Unfortunately, we do not provive obstetrical care at our clinic. If you are in need of prenatal care, the Jefferson County Health Department has a Maternity Care Clinic which offers complete prenatal care by the UAB Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. For more information, please contact UAB's OBGYN Department at 205-996-3130.


Dermatology Clinic:

Three Saturdays a year: 12:00 – 5:00 PM (call for info on dates)

Appointments available by calling to schedule (no referral needed) for:

  • Patients for any medical concerns regarding skin, hair, or nails

Street Medicine Clinic:

Fourth Saturday of every month: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
