Collaborative Outreach and Community Health (COaCH) Workers are a vital part of the UAB Minority Health & Health Disparities Research Center’s efforts to achieve health equity by addressing the factors that contribute to health disparities and poor health outcomes.

COaCHs work in the community to promote better health in general, deliver specific education or interventions, or perform specific community-based activities required by the research studies or community health projects assigned and agreed to by them.

Expectations include:

• Genuine Commitment to community engagement in health promotion,
• Ample time to devote to training, maintenance meetings, and events when available
