Bio

Tucker Oliver, M.D., was born and raised in Columbus, Georgia, and graduated from UGA as a proud third-generation graduate. Tucker remained in Georgia for medical school at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG), where he discovered the potential to serve others through the field of neurosurgery. He spent an extra year between his third and fourth years performing deep brain stimulation on mice and quantifying the subsequent cholinergic response of the cortex, while working closely alongside the neurosurgery department at MCG on other clinical and departmental projects. He rotated with the UAB Department of Neurosurgery during his fourth year of medical school and felt called to return for residency training. In his free time, Tucker enjoys sport climbing, traveling with his wife, and gathering with friends to watch college football.
