Bio

Alina Mohanty, M.D., was born in Bangalore, India, and lived in Phoenix, Arizona, before moving to Houston, Texas, at the age of 5. She attended Rice University where she studied classical languages and economics. During this time, she studied abroad at the University of Edinburgh in Edinburgh, Scotland, and the University of Perpignan in Perpignan, France. She then went to Baylor College of Medicine, where she became interested in neurosurgery and became further involved in the field through clinical research. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking, learning foreign languages, and spending time with family and friends.
