- The UAB Women and Infants’ Center (WIC), which opened in February 2010, is a $140 million facility. The facility, freestanding at over 400,000-square-feet, has 13 maternity evaluation rooms, 17 labor and delivery rooms, 18 antepartum beds, 41 postpartum beds, 4 Cesarean-section OR suites, and 30 beds for gynecology and gynecologic oncology patients
