Our training program is a fully accredited PGY 1-5 format program with a current total of 30 residents. We participate in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). You may only apply to the Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program via ERAS. Information on ERAS is available at aamc.org/eras. Fourth-year medical students should contact their medical school dean's office for more information. The UAB Orthopaedic Residency Program requires USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 scores for applicant interview consideration. Standardized letters are strongly encouraged by the UAB Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program. The program does not accept applications from medical students who are enrolled in medical schools outside of the continental United States.
The application deadline is November 1.
If you have any questions or would like more information regarding our program, please contact the program at ortho_residency@uabmc.edu.
