Rotations
SP/PD: 2 weeks of Surgical Pathology (gross only); 2 weeks of Professional Development
Electives: Dermatopathology (additional exposure integrated in surgical pathology), Renal pathology, transplant pathology, medical lung, subspeciality surgical pathology, forensic pathology
Transfusion Medicine: Blood bank consults and inpatient procedures (apheresis) typically occur every other week during the rotation; site 5 participation is typically less than 1 week of exposure; coagulation is
PD/Informatics: 2 weeks of Professional Development; 2 weeks of Clinical Informatics
LabMgmt/Vac: 3 weeks of Laboratory Management; 1 week of vacation
Cytogenetics: up to 1 week of exposure
Laboratory Medi Senio: Integrated clinical pathology rotation for graduated responsibility in chemistry, microbiology, immunology, transfusion medicine, and forensic toxicology Hematopathology includes bone marrow aspiration, flow cytometry, and lymph node assessment
Vacation
Allowable on all rotations up to 5 days per rotation (total of 15 days allowed per academic year)
