Dear Prospective Applicants,

On behalf of the residents, faculty, and staff of the UAB Child Neurology Residency Program, we would like to say welcome! We thank you for your interest in our residency program.

When we stepped foot on the campus of UAB almost five years ago, we did not fully know what to expect. Since then, our experience has exceeded all expectations, and we have been blessed to call UAB home. We have received world-class training, gained extensive opportunities for growth and advancement, and forged friendships and mentorships that will last a lifetime.

Beginning with our pediatrics training, we were made to feel like family as we learned to manage both common and rare pediatric conditions. Throughout the transition to becoming neurologists, our adult neurology colleagues were there to support us every step of the way. Finally, we joined our forever home in child neurology - fine-tuning our skills and delving into our career interests. All of this is done in state-of-the-art facilities with access to the best of the best in their respective fields, incredible hospital staff, and amazing co-residents.

Along the way, we have had opportunities to participate in scholarly activities, whether it be research, quality improvement, or scholars' programs through the Department of Pediatrics. Alabama is a vibrant and culturally rich state with a diverse patient population, and it has been an honor and privilege to serve the children of Alabama.
