Biography
Mercy Nilda Jimenez, M.D., joined the UAB Department of Surgery in September 2024. Dr. Jimenez graduated medical school with high honors at Ross University School of Medicine. She completed her general surgery residency at Flushing Hospital Medical Center and a fellowship in complex general surgical oncology at Roger Williams Medical Center.
Dr. Jimenez is a member of numerous professional societies including: the Society of Surgical Oncology, the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Colorectal Surgeons, the American HepatoPancreaticoBiliary Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Association of Women Surgeons.
