Student Basic Needs

Introduction
Across the nation, 34% of students experience some form of food insecurity at some point in the last 30 days. Additionally, several students experience homelessness or housing insecurity, transportation insecurity, and other barriers to success. The Division of Student Affairs seeks to remove barriers to support student success at UAB. Through holistic non-clinical case management, staff reinforce community standards and health promoting strategies and assist students as they continue their academic progress.
