Two presentations of UAB’s campus engagement survey results are scheduled April 18. The sessions will be held 9-10 a.m. in Volker Hall Lecture Room A and 2-3 p.m. in Volker Hall Lecture Room E.
The overall response rate to the online survey conducted Jan. 29- Feb. 12 was 55 percent, with nearly 5,000 faculty and staff responding, according to ModernThink, the third-party administrator. That exceeds the goal of 50 percent for 2019 and is well beyond the 44 percent response rate in 2017.
ModernThink representatives will be on campus next week to deliver institutional results to President Ray Watts and senior leadership. Vice presidents and deans also will receive quantitative results for their units, a qualitative summary of comments submitted by respondents and tools for sharing those results internally.
Watts, who will deliver the opening remarks for the April 18 morning presentation, says the university and its leadership is committed to sharing the findings, identifying priority areas, opportunities for action and developing follow-up plans to address them.
Chief Human Resource Officer Alesia Jones, who will open the afternoon results presentation, says the results will help quantify our progress and help identify tools, resources and programs needed to promote and sustain individual and institutional growth as it did in 2017.
