Adults ages 65-84 years old or individuals with Parkinson’s disease ages 45-84 needed for a research study on balance and mobility. This study is being done to determine your balance ability and confidence while performing two tasks. The first task involves walking at a range of speeds. The second task involves responding to disturbances to balance while standing. If you qualify, your participation in the study sessions will require two visits to the laboratory. The Child and Adolescent Health Lab at UAB is conducting a research study to understand parental reactions to a child’s sexual identity disclosure. Participants will complete surveys as well as an interview. Participants will be compensated for participation. You may be eligible to participate if you are a biological parent with a child who is openly or suspected to be LGBT.
