Jones 'epitomizes the true UAB spirit'
Last year, Joy Jones, assistant director of the Career Center in Career and Professional Development services, helped increase the number of nurse-shadowing programs for pre-nursing students. For her work to increase collaboration across campus, Jones has been named Employee of the Month for November.

"Nightline" to re-air UAB kidney chain segment Thanksgiving night
ABC’s Nightline, which airs weekdays at 11:35 p.m., CT, will re-air its July story on UAB's kidney chain Thanksgiving night. The program can be seen locally on ABC 33/40. The UAB kidney chain — the nation’s longest — is still on going, with transplant No. 29 taking place this past week and more scheduled for December.
