Changes to terminal pay policy effective Jan. 1

No Blazer Express bus service during holiday break
The parking gates will be raised at the Sixth Avenue Parking Deck Nov. 27-28 to accommodate employees who normally park in remote lots and ride the bus.

Toys for Tots drive is underway
UAB has launched its 21st annual toy drive benefiting Toys for Tots. Boxes are located in buildings across campus for new, unwrapped toy donations. Toys will be picked up Dec. 5.

UAB is open for crowdfunding
UAB is launching a new platform, Crowdfunding at UAB, that will enable project creators to generate support from those with a desire to give directly to their project. Anyone with a solution to a genuine need or problem can apply to be included. The first three projects are online to see.

Know your Alabama ethics law before accepting gifts from UAB vendors
Alabama law restricts items that UAB employees may receive from vendors. Before you accept a personal gift from a business partner, determine whether it is allowed by state ethics law and follow the school or unit policy on receipt of gifts.
