After two years, more than 600 UAB volunteers and 2,400-plus hours of work, Red Mountain Park’s UAB Meadow Classroom will open Sept. 25. The classroom is situated amid the urban mega park, comprising 1,500 wooded acres located in Birmingham, that is a place to explore the history of the city’s ore-mining operations, plus geology, biodiversity and other natural resources and get some exercise and find adventure.
