UAB Learning & Development’s leadership program, Management Fundamentals, offers participants the opportunity to earn a Managing Performance certificate.
The three-part series, which launched this past year, enables managers at all levels to develop or hone their skills as effective leaders. The curriculum blends live workshops with curated online learning tools, and participants can maximize their time and learn at their own pace.
“Our participants said the workshops gave them skills to help their teams develop and succeed and helped them become more confident and knowledgeable as managers,”
Organizational Development Specialist William Edwards said.
One participant noted, “the workshops have given me tools for practical applications as a manager to ensure my unit is always moving toward success.”
Participants who attend all three workshops will receive a Managing Performance certificate, which can be added to their professional transcript in EdTrack. Registration is open at uab.edu/learn for these dates:
- Motivating Through Performance Management: July 10 & July 31
- Giving & Receiving Feedback: Aug. 14 & Aug. 21
- Developing Others through Coaching: Sept. 18 & Oct. 16
