Parking

Additional parking options for UAB University Recreation Members and Guests include:

• 14th Street Parking Deck (Cooper Green Parking Deck) (First hour $3, each additional hour $1, max daily rate $13) (parking is at the expense of the driver, URec does not validate parking for any reason.)
• Metered parking spaces available on 10th Avenue South and 14th Street South (parking is at the expense of the driver, URec does not validate parking for any reason.)
• 16th Avenue Street Deck is available in the NIGHTS and WEEKEND hours. (This must be requested through UAB Transportation, URec does not grant this access.)
• All employees who park in UAB facilities at the established full-time parking lot, may be granted NIGHTS and WEEKEND parking privileges to the 9th Avenue parking deck on their UAB One Card by the UAB Parking and Transportation department. (This must be requested through UAB Transportation, URec does not grant this access.)

NIGHTS is defined as Monday-Friday, 5:00pm until 5:00am WEEKEND is defined as all day Saturday and Sunday.

University Recreation would like to encourage members to use alternative modes of transportation when traveling to the Campus Recreation Center. The Blazer Express Green Route stops by the 9th Avenue Parking Deck, next to the facility. There are also bike racks located on the northeast and northwest corners of the Campus Recreation Center, along with bike lanes on 10th Avenue South and 16th Street South, leading to the facility.
