Are you looking for an awesome way for you little Blazers to get active this Winter? URec Day Camps are perfect for you!

This is a great opportunity for children to explore adventure sports, exciting crafts, aquatic activities, and everything Campus Recreation has to offer under one roof.

The Day Camp schedule is from 9:00am - 4:00pm and the age range for Day Camps is 5-12 years of age. Campers will need to provide their own lunch.

We look forward to spending time with your little Blazers while you get some free time to yourself!

2024-2025 Winter Break Day Camp

    Experience the ultimate Winter Break at UAB University Recreation's Day Camps! We are thrilled to announce our upcoming sessions designed to accommodate your busy Holiday schedule.

    • Week 1: December 23, December 26 & 27, 2024
      *Closed December 24 & 25
    • Week 2: December 30, 2024, January 2 & 3, 2025
      *Closed December 31 & January 1
    • Week 3: January 6 & 7, 2025

  • Enrollment Forms

    In this section, you can find Online Fillable and Printable PDFs of the 2024-2025 Winter Break Day Camps Enrollment Forms (one per family). This document must be fully completed and signed in order to register and make the deposit. Once completed, you can email them to us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or drop them off in person at the Membership Services desk during normal operating hours. Enrollment Forms and full payment are at time of enrollment. If enrollment forms and/or payment are not recieved, your child will not be enrolled.

    The payment may be processed online via URec Member Online Portal, in person, or over the phone at 205-996-5038.

    Single Day $40 $50
    Full Winter Camp (December 23 - January 7) *No Camp on December 24 & 24, December 31 & January 1st $250 $275
  • Refund and Request Form
    • Youth camp deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. No cash refunds.
    • All refund and cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via the Refund Request Form and received by University Recreation Staff.
    • Refund requests received 7 or more days prior to the first day of camp are eligible for a full refund at the discretion of the Associate Director of Programming.
      • **Please note, no partial refund will be given for incompletion of full camp.
    • Refund requests received fewer than 7 days prior to the first day of camp are eligible for a 50% refund of the total amount paid.
      • Not applicable to Single Day Camps
      • Refund requests received fewer than 24 hours prior to the start of camp will not be offered a refund unless the two circumstances below pertain to you.
    • Refund requests received fewer than 7 days prior to the start of camp may be offered a full refund for the following situations only:
      • Medical Withdrawal (doctor’s note required)
      • Military Relocation (documentation required)

    Refunds can be processed during business hours Monday – Friday between 800am-11:30am and 1pm-4:00pm.
