Olu Ogunbi, the son of two physicians, enrolled at UAB in 2009 with the goal of becoming a doctor. But after his first semester, he switched to marketing. “I have always been entrepreneurial and looking for ways to develop myself,” Ogunbi said. “At the time, UAB didn’t have an entrepreneurship major like it does now, and marketing seemed like the closest thing.”

Alumna Emily Pruett, who received her bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2007 and her MBA in 2008, was recently promoted to partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLC. (PwC). She works in client services and in talent identification and development out of the international firm’s Nashville office.

Collat spring 2023 grads

More than 400 students from the Collat School of Business graduated during two spring semester commencement ceremonies Friday, April 28 and Saturday, April 29 at Bartow Arena.
