Dr. Snider is a communications specialist and college instructor whose work has focused on media images and stereotypes of Black women, race and representation, and using art as therapy for children experiencing social and emotional stresses. She is active in Birmingham Community organizations including the Birmingham Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists and the Alabama School of Fine Arts Alumni Board, where she serves as the communications officer.
