Dr. Morgan is a professor of criminal justice and the director of the African American Studies program.
Morgan's research interests include corrections (specifically probation and parole), correctional health care policy, race and crime, and criminal justice policy. A recently developed line of research focuses on the death penalty and its application both nationally and in Alabama. Her recent book is Beyond Theory: Probation and Parole in Practice.
