Jie Jason Lian: Jason's core research focuses on the theme of ``Security and Technology" and developing and applying advanced statistical and AI tools to address key issues in civil resistance and the broader international security field. Jason's training background also inspires a strand of research on the political implications of emerging AI technologies. Along this line, Jason especially focuses on the technology adaptation issue and how emerging technologies might influence the interactions between civil actors and the government and across different national governments in the security area.
