This program offers intensive mentoring, specialized D&I coursework, hands-on research immersions, and professional development activities—all tailored to equip postdoctoral trainees with the interdisciplinary and cultural competencies needed to optimize the delivery of proven health interventions and to advance health.

This program has an inter-professional emphasis with physicians, doctoral-trained nurses, and pharmacists participating. Fellows use their two years to focus on healthcare improvement research and scholarship, operations leadership, and teaching quality and safety.

This program prepares interdisciplinary investigators to pursue careers in health services and outcomes research. Skills development will include exposure to relevant epidemiological, statistical, experimental, mixed methods, and quasi-experimental methodologies, health equity research methods, and academic survivor skills such as developing an NIH-style Biosketch and elevator pitch, all with an emphasis on the practical application of health services research methodology.
