ACTion Learning provides an engaging and immersive training experience by utilizing live actors to help bring real-world scenarios to life. A talented pool of local actors create dynamic sessions that are tailored to a learning program's objectives and language. Actors bring realism, emotion, and instant feedback into the equation while learners interact with characters, helping them develop the necessary skills to excel in their roles, resulting in a more realistic and immersive learning experience.

"ACTion Learning: The Art of Reconsenting"Live, in-person event.
Event location: Bevil Biomedical Building, Room 170You’ve consented participants, and now they are coming back for research visits. You have some changes to the project that requires you to re-consent them. Are you prepared to explain the changes well? Do you know what your commitment is when a re-consent is required?
Join us for ACTion Learning as we delve into the nuanced methods of ensuring re-consent is executed with the best possible practices in place. ACTion Learning uses local actors to illustrate real-life scenarios, where you serve as the “director”, molding the scene. No role-play is involved, so you can experience the reactions and consequences in a stress-free learning environment. Theories and models become practical because they become personal.
In addition, for those attended the popular ACTion Learning event: Ensuring Consent is Truly Informed, this will be a fantastic follow up piece, as the same characters and storyline will be maintained. Participants who attend will see strategies employed when facing the need to re-consent participants during a follow-up visit.
Learning objectives include:
- Understand how to address the conversation about the need to reconsent.
- Appreciate the potential pitfalls that easily arise during the re-consent process.
- Become familiar with strategies for ensuring understanding through Teach Back and Chunk and Check methods.
