At the UAB School of Dentistry, we’re committed to fostering a community of lifelong learners who can tackle the challenges of dentistry and academia. Our Excellence through Continued Enrichment & Learning (EXCEL) program is designed to provide select professional experiences, advance multicultural and cross disciplinary perspectives, and support faculty and staff engagement.
Several times a year, we suspend regular operations for a half or whole day to hold programming that takes place both on-site and off-site. When possible, we invite experts to present on critical subjects and hold simultaneous tracks that cover diverse topics targeted to various groups of faculty and staff. Continuing Education (CE) credits are issued for qualifying courses, such as medical emergencies and infection control.
